Privacy for the current ModMatch prototype.
Effective date: July 31, 2026. This policy describes the public prototype currently available at ModMatch. It will be updated before a production account system launches.
Information stored in your browser
The prototype may store your selected vehicle, build, profile details, and community-build drafts in your browser’s local storage. This information is not sent to a ModMatch server by the current prototype. Clearing browser site data may remove it.
Information sent to third parties
When you use vehicle lookups, the app may request public vehicle and fuel-economy data from government sources. The site also loads a hero image from an external image host. Those providers may receive ordinary technical information such as your IP address and browser information under their own policies.
Affiliate and retailer links
When product links are added, clicking one may send you to a retailer or affiliate network. Those sites have their own privacy practices, cookies, and purchase terms. ModMatch does not process orders or payment information.
Future accounts
A production release may add verified accounts, hosted profiles, analytics, and additional data services. Before that happens, this policy will be revised to identify the data collected, purpose, retention, rights, and contact method.
